This was supposed to be a post about dinging 77, about getting cold weather flying (goodbye precious gold, I shall miss thee!) and getting mining up to 450.

Instead it’s a post about how, at least on The Scryers, the quest A Hero’s Burden is seemingly in a constant state of bork. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve swung into that cave (on Mal mostly) only to find Artruis with his immune shield up and the Frenzyheart and Oracle dudes still on ice.

So poor Grim remains a bar away from 77, and I left him in that cave for the time being. Maybe later in the day (insomniac, ahoy!) I can snag a few guildies before the NYE partying kicks in, and get that done.

The bright note for the evening was seeing the collective gold pile (between Mal, Grim, and the babydruid, Azok) inch closer to 4k. Granted, that will go down 1k for the cold weather flying, but at least Grim should be able to get epic flying not too long after.

With Grim’s mining now 450, he can mine Titanium. Naturally though, the only titanium nodes I found was when he was at 448 and 449. D’oh! Ah well…at least with leveling in Sholazar, that should be rectified soon enough.

Soon enough he’ll be 80 and zooming around Northrend on that sweet undead flyer and life will be good.
