It’s been several days since I’ve made any posts, mostly due to the current guild’s raid schedule. However, observant readers will have noticed several changes to Grim’s gear, and those who clicked through to view his actual armory link would have noticed that he and Mal (my hunter) are indeed in the same guild now. I haven’t yet put my Druid in yet, but that’s mostly a matter of laziness on my part.

While the Staggering Legplates still prove to be quite the elusive drop for Grim, he has upgraded his gear in several other spots, notably both trinkets. I guess all those ‘failed’ attempts at UK were good for something – in this case the Mirror of Truth. The same DTK run that netted Grim the Incisor Fragment also had the Breastplate of Undeath fall.

This means that the Grim’s conversion from Tanky to DPS is nearly complete as but two tanky pieces remain equipped – his pants and his gloves. While I will continue to try and get the Staggering Legplates to drop, he could be doing a lot worse off in either of those two gear spots. Still, I’d like to get him an instance run with a competent group before I think about signing Grim up for the 25 man Naxx group that I’ve been running Mal in. I may try and sign him up for the 10 man version though.

Next up for Grim? Completing the rep grind to get him Exalted with Sons of Hodir. He’s about halfway through Revered, so it shouldn’t take too much longer.

grats on the drops/upgrades.

and yes, the Staggering Legplates are very elusive, they never dropped for me until right after i got the valorous legs from heroic voa (then they seemed to drop every time).

and as for gloves, if you feel adventurous, the gloves from heroic occulus are very nice. though that instance can be painful to do unless everyone’s overgeared (and it can still be painful then too).

Well, the good news for Grim is that he’s got an invite to the guild Naxx-10 run. It’s usually alts and a few experienced players to balance out the DPS, so if they do their usual (a full clear), then he should end up with at least one or two new items. Needless to say, the gloves/pants will be priority.
