Tank I am not

Dec 26, 2008 I leveling.

…but tanking I did nonetheless.

Having reached Dragonblight, I looked for a group for the Wanted! quest line that end with Sarathstra, Scourge of the North. I found a level 76 mage, and after checking in with my guild, also added our Naxx geared uber-healer. With a bit of trepidation, I switched from blood to frost presence, dropped Death and Decay and just started cycling through my strikes, trying to continue to drop D&D whenever I could.

And…we completed the questline.  I have a shiny new sword, a girdle (DKs wear girdles?!?!), and a bit more confidence about my abilities.  I have no illusions about how we made it through this (uber-healer, for the win), but that I was able to continue to hold threat for each fight was a good thing in my book.

I don’t think I’ll be swapping to a more tank-oriented spec anytime soon (even for a dual spec, when those come to pass), but it’s nice to know that in the right situation, I can hold my own just fine.
