On A Pale Horse

Just encountered another Unholy DK and he seemed stunned that Grim doesn’t have On a Pale Horse.

While it certainly seems like a neat little talent, I wonder about how viable it is.  Is it purely for conveniance (let me get to that mob before you can, neener, neener!) or is there really a necessity for it that I’m just not seeing?  Perhaps for the stun effect consideration?

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

    Couple things about Pale Horse… the stun mitigation is nice if you’re tanking. By itself, probably could have the points better spent elsewhere for that particular purpose. However, as silly as it seems, travel speed IS important. That 20% actually comes out to 36% overall speed boost (based on where you start the math… with it I move at 236% speed on a 100% mount), and when you are levelling or grinding so much that you travel a lot, you seriously save some major time over the long run. That’s why I use it, and why most of my builds, even non-unholy, have gone UH to get it.

    Saving time is good – I’m all about efficient leveling.

    I guess it can’t hurt to look over my build and see if adding Pale Horse makes sense. Maybe not delving quite so heavily into the frost tree…
