A rare night of rest

Jan 17, 2009 I gear.

Tonight was guild heoric runs (instead of attempting Naxx-10 again just yet), and instead of Grim tanking, we opted to give the guild pally some love and let him have some action. So I hopped on Mal, refreshed myself on the “art” of playing a Hunter, and we cleared UK and CoS on Heoric. I joined the bulk of the party in going to get the Jenkins title (though Mal already had is – Grim does too, for that matter!), then set about farming.

Farming these days is all about selling saronite (or cobalt, which oddly enough sells for more on my server) and keeping my eyes peeled for reasonably (or under) priced Dragon’s Eye. Why gathering these expensive little JC bits? To eventually have a Titanium Earthguard Ring crafted. I have 1 of 4 at this point, and the rest of the mats are just sitting in my bank, so it’s only a matter of time.

Maybe tomorrow will have a loot update (I’m hoping Grim will get some heoric action), but time will tell. I won’t worry regardless. Everything happens for a reason.

Cobalt goes for a lot of my server as well. Saronite is a requirement for so many high level items that I think a lot of the mining folks forgot that Cobalt even exists which drives up demand for it thanks to the short supply.

I can sell a stack of cobalt for 60g usuallly, and a stack of saronite for 45-50g. Add in that cobalt is 1:1 ore to bar and it ends up being a no-brainer by and large.

Only ‘problem’ there is my titanium supply is starting to run low and I haven’t had much look of late in Sholazar, even circling in my crack-of-dawn hours when most normal people are sleeping…
