…everywhere a tank, tank.

A guildie wanted to run Nexus tonight, but since we’ve run that place so many times that I know the map by heart, I suggested we try it in heoric…and that’s what we ended up doing. Our rag tag bunch of heroes went in a bit underprepared (“Come closer so that pat doesn’t bite you,” I warned. It bit anyways.) … but I’d say we still had fun. Of the 5 bosses in there, we cleared 3 of them. Our first mage (who had to leave for bed after 2 bosses) upgraded his gloves, while our priest got a dream shard and a new pair of boots.

The mage boss (whom we refer to as the popcorn boss for her affinity at bouncing us around like we’re in a popcorn popper) wiped us several times – putting us so far behind that the trash respawned on us. Sadly, given how punchy a few of us were, this actually made us giggle. Who, us, warped? Never!

I’m becoming much more confident in my ‘tanking abilities’ – which is a dramatic change from where I was even 2 weeks ago, when I didn’t know the first thing about tanking. 99% of the time I select the ‘right’ mob to be yoinked, and I’ve gotten pretty good at corner pulls too.

Some cool things going on guild-wise as well, but I’m not going to go into that further into things are more concrete. Time will tell, but things look promising.
