For the past few days, I’ve been trying to figure out a way to add a Tempered Titansteel Helm to my equipped gear. The problem that I was encountering was that the defense difference between it and my Tempered Saronite Helm was so extreme that I was dipping below the defense softcap when wearing the Titansteel. Clearly, that’s not in Grim’s best interest!

So I’ve fiddled with gems and did a run of Heroic Magisters’ Terrace, where I had some luck and landed Commendation of Kael’thas. While the new trinket is not Essence of Gossamer, it’s still a good little tank trinket and makes Grim meet the minimum recommended stats for tanking Naxx. With all that said, I’m relatively satisfied with how Grim looks at this point, since in frost spec he’s got 22k armor, 540 defense, and just over 25k health.

It’s progress. It’s slow, but at least its progress. And that’s all I can ask for.
