I think a good chunk of the fun for me this go around was getting to be there as the guild leaders experienced it for the first time and hearing the awe in their voices after the fact. The really should make the quest mandatory, make it an attunement for something further down the line.

Man, finishing this quest made WotLK worth it all by itself for me. I had no idea what was to come, I just saw the achievement, figured I was close and went for it. After I finished that quest, the achievement popped up for just a fraction of a second, and then my PC locked up. I kinda panicked, as, if you know me, I'm an achievement fiend and I thought I was gonna miss the screenshot of the achievement. A couple seconds later (when it was done loading), I was treated to "the video". I wasn't expecting it, had no idea it was there, never even heard it whispered on the wind. I was simply blown away... Of course, I finished the quests that followed as well, and just can't believe the trouble they took with the lore and actually having an in-game event affect your future in the game (no longer able to interact with Verimithras, etc). Just talking about it makes me want to level another toon to do it all again.
